Playful Poppies is the first of a flower series. I've always been fascinated by poppies, their shapes and their vivid colours. Playful Poppies came out very spontaneously and it really has some Matisse vibes with its loose lines and bright colours.

Playful Poppies and broadly, the flower series is an ode to the calm and inner peace that radiate from still life. The word itself says it, 'still'. It is an invitation to pause and enjoy the present moment. And flowers are a great way to get grounded, since they enchant three of our senses (sight, smell and touch)

Playful Poppies is an oil on wood. It comes with its thrifted frame and measures 41 x 55 cms, 16 x 21.5 in.
